Food & Drink Devon have recently been awarded the contract to support food and drink businesses throughout the Greater Dartmoor area, including West Devon, and parts of the South Hams and Teignbridge. 

With funding from Greater Dartmoor LEAF and the borough councils, Food & Drink Devon will be supporting small producers to develop their business skills and to increase sales through training and events.

Robin Deitch, Food & Drink Devon’s Network Co-ordinator said “The pilot network has been a great success over the last year with many businesses benefiting from opportunities to sell their produce through new outlets, others gaining new skills and all taking advantage of being in a wider network of like minded businesses helping the food and drink sector as a whole to grow”.
 
A variety of seminars have already been planned along with two food and drink ‘Meet the Buyer’ events at the Hatherleigh Community Centre in September as part of the Tavistock Food Festival and at the Two Bridges Hotel on Dartmoor as part of Devon’s Celebration of Food in October.
