Owners Jo and Richie Evans are passionate about producing Christmas puddings that taste as authentic and luxurious as you would make at home.

“It’s great to see an artisan product from Devon, featured in the national media like this” said Jo. “Consumers are becoming more discerning about the food they eat, and many want to buy ‘real’ food where the focus is on flavour and quality, not just price.”

The husband and wife team have carefully selected only the finest ingredients to be included in the puddings. Perhaps the most important ingredient is ten-year-old Somerset Cider Brandy, which together the with champion real ale ‘Port Stout’ from O’Hanlon’s Brewery in Devon, provides the finest Christmas Cheer! They also use only the very best of the vine fruits and plump cherries that are coloured only with fruit juice. Prepared to a time-honoured method, the Christmas puddings are matured for several months in Mason Cash ceramic pudding basins and wrapped in  the classic ‘rabbit-ears’ pudding cloth, allowing the pudding to breathe and the flavours to mature in the traditional way.

The puddings are highly acclaimed for their taste and quality and have received Gold and Silver awards at the Taste of the West Awards as well as a Gold Star in the prestigious Great Taste Awards. With a light texture and rich flavour, Figgy’s award winning Christmas puddings are an ideal choice to complete your festive feasts.  With their attractive cloth wrapping, these delicious puddings are also ideal as gifts for your foodie friends and family.

The puddings come in three different sizes and can be purchased at a number of outlets in Devon including Dart’s Farm (Topsham), Bon Gout  (St Leonards, Exeter), the Real Food Store (Exeter), The Boutique at Abode on Cathedral Green (Exeter), Powderham Stores (Kenton), Crebers (Tavistock), & River Cottage (Plymouth).

They can also be purchased online at www.figgys.co.uk and by telephone on 01392-459488.
