Business Link Offer the Following:
Skills
Access to a free, impartial, no-obligation service dedicated to helping develop skills within your business, whatever the size or sector of your business.
Skills review to highlight skills gaps within your organisation.
Sourcing of appropriate training solutions
Ongoing advice and support
Sourcing and access to funding, such as NVQ’s, Apprenticeships, Skills for Life and Leadership and Management training
Summary of Leadership and Management Funding
Support for organisations with between 5 and 249 employees, though occasionally we may be able to support smaller organisations than this.
Access to initial £500 grant to support leadership/management training.
Further £500 grant available on a match-funded basis.
Training solutions supported through this fund are flexible, dependent on the needs of your business. Examples of training support to date are Management Development Programmes, Business Mentoring and Coaching, Recruitment Skills, Communicating with Confidence, Sales Techniques, Marketing, etc.
Business Advice
A service to help people starting, running or growing a business.
When you’re starting in business we’ll provide you with free help to plan your business and successfully navigate the first few months. We’ll answer your questions, help you develop essential business skills and link you to ‘new business’ experts – giving you the best chance of success.
When you’re running a business we’ll provide you with free help to deal with day-to-day issues and improve your business’s performance. We’ll also be able to supply relevant information on issues such as legislation, managing people, increasing sales and reducing costs.
When you’re growing a business an adviser will spend time with you reviewing objectives and clarifying key activities. Then, we’ll work with you to set goals, identify critical success factors and link you to the resources and expertise that will help turn your plans into reality.
