A rustic beachside cafe,  situated on the National Trust Coast path, at Beesands, offering a full menu, specialising in locally caught seafood.

 Why not sit outside or on the beach and crack a freshly cooked Start Bay crab or lobster? Hand-dived scallops or crevettes, pan fried with garlic butter are delicious! Our seafood platters use hand-picked crab, cockles, mussels, prawns, homemade coleslaw and potato salad with lovely granary rolls and sauces to accompany. We also sell pasties, sausage rolls, paninis, a variety of freshly made sandwiches, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, anchovies, rollmops and other savoury goodies.

For those with a sweet tooth, a delicious Devon cream tea with Devon clotted cream topped with sticky strawberry jammmm! Homemade cakes to die for! Toasted tea cakes, teas, coffee, hot chocolate and homemade soups.

At the shop you can also purchase a wide variety of locally caught fresh fish and shellfish, much landed from our own boats, on the beach at Beesands, and have it prepared to your requirements, then packaged in custom made leak-proof foil bags, designed to keep the fish chilled for up to 2-3 hours.

The highest quality, tasty crab is caught in the Bay directly in front of the shop and if you time it right you may be lucky enough to see it being landed on the beach. Line caught bass, mackerel and pollack are in abundance during the summer months.

Telephone orders are welcome- please give a minimum of 24 hours notice, (particularly for cooked shellfish). Special occasions and large groups can be catered for, please enquire.

For those who are camping or self-catering all the basic essential groceries are available such as milk, bread, local organic vegetables, bacon, ham, cereals, etc as well as more specialised fishy things including smoked haddock, smoked mackerel, hand-picked local crabmeat, cockles, mussels and prawns.
