Hazelwood is a glorious escape from the hurly burly of day-to-day life, loved by people from all over the world. It sits in 67 acres of river valley where wildlife abounds. Nearby are moors, award winning beaches and woodland walks.
Hazelwood is a place where the arts are valued; ideal for music, painting, dance and theatre.
We run an eclectic programme of concerts and cultural weekends throughout the year.
It is the perfect place for private parties, weddings and celebrations of all sorts, be they large or small.
The house, which is gracious without being grand, offers relaxed informality with attention to detail. Bedrooms are colourful and comfortable with natural bedding. Many of the rooms are en-suite with valley views.
Business away days, workshops and conferences are all catered for and there is plenty of space.
Food is fresh, local, organic if possible and prepared with care. Our head chef Alex Sandu is both passionate and flexible and can easily create dishes for those with special diets. Open fires give winter cheer and a flowery veranda is ideal for warmer days relaxing and refueling in peace and quiet.
